About the Academy
Inspire Academy is the Mathematics, Science, ICT and Accounting tutoring entity of Inspire Foundation Group Africa. The Academy was established in 2013 to assist in improving pass rates for higher learning institution gateway subjects in the Eastern Cape Province. Our flagship programme started with one centre, increasing to three centres by the end of 2016 academic year due to high demand for assistance in Mathematics and Science subjects. In June 2017 Inspire Academy launched a new centre in Soweto.
In order to reach our goal of improving Mathematics and Science results in the Eastern Cape province, the foundation aims to established 15 centres in the EC Province by the end of the 2020 academic year. Currently, the academy registers more than 880 learners annually from the Buffalo City Municipality schools and Soweto (Dobsonville) campus.
Inspire Academy mainly focuses on Grade 6 to 12 learners, offering an after school programme that is aligned to the South African schools CAPS curriculum. The Academy offers a conducive environment for studying after school, where learners have access to internet for academic research and university application purposes.
Inspire Academies are equipped with CAPS aligned study guides for Mathematics and Science in Grades 6 to 12. The Academy is operated by a combination of teachers and tutors with strong backgrounds in Mathematics, Science, ICT and Accounting. Inspire Academy is also assisted by University students (Inspire Alumni) who volunteer during Summer & Winter vacations. The Academy currently operates in 4 centres in Bisho (2), King Williams Town (1) and Soweto (1).
